and the Chinese in Early Photographs, an exhibition of nineteenth-century
images and rare periodicals produced in China, is on view at the International
Center of Photography (1133 Avenue of the Americas at 43rd Street) from June
11-September 5, 2004. The seventh in the series "New Histories of Photography," the
exhibition is presented in collaboration with the George Eastman House, Rochester,
New York.
